Report: Madball live in Ljubljana, Slovenia
Posted on July 31 2008.

July 1st 2008 was the first time I witnessed Madball‘s wrath live. Being a hardcore aficionado I already had my fair share of Agnostic Front and Sick Of It All live performances but somehow I always managed to miss the Madball shows that were somewhere in a reasonable driving distance.

Unearth completes work on new album
Posted on July 31 2008.

Unearth completed work on their new album. Entitled The March, the record is scheduled to drop on October 14 via Metal Blade Records.
The March was recorded at both MA’s System Recording Studios and Zing Studios with producer Adam Dutkiewicz. The album is said to feature Unearth’s most dynamic material to date, combining strong tension and release, abundant guitar solos and a bulldozing power-groove.
On the topic of the new album, Unearth front man Trevor Phipps states, “The March symbolizes both the evil and hopeful sides of humanity. The Evil: With the constant balancing act of power within government, religion and our financial institutions, there lies the chance of those most hungry for power to alter and restrict our freedoms for their gain. The Hopeful: This represents the faith in mankind as the most powerful force on the planet. If we come together and do not fight over religion, class and borders then we hold the key to a peaceful world. There are two possible futures in store; either a March of power and greed or a March of a unified human race.”
The final track listing for The March is as follows:
1.) My Will Be Done
2.) Hail the Shrine
3.) Crow Killer
4.) Grave of Opportunity
5.) We Are Not Anonymous
6.) The March
7.) Cutman
8.) The Chosen
9.) Letting Go
10.) Truth or Consequence
In advance of The March’s release, Unearth will launch a U.S. headlining tour, which will kick off on October 1 in Baltimore, MD. Presented by Live Nation, the scheduled four week, 26 city tour will feature support from Protest the Hero, The Acacia Strain, Whitechapel and Gwen Stacy.
On August 1, Unearth will make a special main stage appearance at the 2008 Wacken Open Air Festival. Wacken is the largest exclusively metal music festival in the world and will see Unearth share the stage with Iron Maiden, At the Gates, Carcass and more.
