Coming up: Obscene Extreme Festival 2009

OBSCENE EXTREME FESTIVAL has become an obvious constant for all the fans of the most extreme music styles within its ten years of existence.

A term that if not known by a true grind core, death metal, crust core, gore grind or other extreme style fan invokes just a general surprise and an uncomprehending expression. Yes, indeed it is a unique musical event that does not need any further introduction. Welcome to OBSCENE EXTREME, to a paradise of every fan of the fastest, hardest, the most brutal music in the world.

This 11th volume will start another decade of festival tournaments of the most extreme bands from the whole world. There will be an unbelievable turnout of 60 bands from 28 countries and 5 continents. For the first time we can be looking forward to three full-sized days of music. However, the biggest change especially the regular visitors of OEF will sense is the move of the fest to a new venue in Svojšice u Přelouče. After ten great years on Bojiště in Trutnov another continuation of OEF on this venue was not possible. The venue in Svojšice is an appropriate substitute. It is very similar to Bojiště by its nature and checked out by such big fests like Brutal Assault or Antifest.

What you can look forward to the most is the bands. This year lineup is truely full of hammers. Let us introduce at least the most important names. Right on Thursday we can expect a real treat no need to introduce much. It is thrash/crossover MUNICIPAL WASTE form America. They will be efficiently supported by merry grind core farmers BIRDFLESH from Sweden and gore grind legend DEAD INFECTION from Poland. We cannot miss out Welsh death metal steamroler DESECRATION and traditional crazy night body – piercing HELL SHOW right from the entrails of inferno. No doubt much blood and other liquids will be splashed again. On Friday many fans will finally have the opportunity to see their long awaited show of the grind core legend NAPALM DEATH!!! Yes, the founders and pillars of this genre are finally going to hit the stage of OEF! The one and only European performance of a great side project of the members of Napalm Death and Brutal Truth called VENOMOUS CONCEPT will be an excellent bonus. Friday will bring a cult crust block for all the punk fans. It will be legends DISFEAR and WOLFBRIGADE from Sweden. Lividity will come with their brutal death metal from Illinois, US and a ruthless gore grind butchery will be brought by OXIDISED RAZOR from Mexico.

The „allstar“ war death metal of HAIL OF BULLETS from Holland, hard core/punk legend of RATOS DE PORAO from Brazil and grind ´n´ roll hammer of BLOOD DUSTER from Australia will be the hihglights of Saturday night. This highly explosive mixture will be a great climax of the whole will fest. Uncompromising, noisy, filthy and extreme. The show of the Swedish crust legend MOB 47 or Swedish butchers from MACHETAZO will for sure be much awaited too.

We cannot forget to mention that you will have a great opportunity to see and enjoy also newcomers of the extreme scene in the course of these three days. We are sure you will discover some interesting bands for you … check e.g. Swedish grinders SOUND OF DETESTATION, angry crust of Norwegian LIVSTID, hyper fastcore of A DEN OF ROBBERS from Belgium, brutal slamming of CREPITATION from Britain, properly hopping goregrind of DEFECAL OF GERBE from France, very intensive death/grinders SLAVEBREED from Greece or old school grind of WORMROT from Singapore… we could go on like this for a long time. Check OEF webpage, listen also to the songs of less known bands and keep your eyes and ears open!!!

There are several campsites available free of charge for the fest visitors as every year (you can park you car next to the tent!). As usually there will be only vegetarian/vegan meals, the beer of Gambrinus from Pilsen as the official beer of the festival and for real beer experts Pilsen Urquell will be available at the venue. A huge Grind Market will be again an integral part of the fest.

The ticket price is 35 Euro for all three days until 1st of July; it will be 40 Euro on site and of course including festival CD OEF 2009 you get right at the entrance together with the ticket and the programme of the whole event.

OBSCENE EXTREME is a fest for lovers of extreme music and for great meetings of friends. It is an international megaparty for fans from all over the world. We believe to fulfill the motto of the fest: MAD – FRIENDLY – EXTREME!!!

Do not take any bottles or any glass, sharp objects, any guns, dogs but take your children with you on the other hand if you have some. It is necessary to bring up a new generation of grinders. Maniacs up to the age of 12 have a free entry! As usually we prepare our Kinder Grinder kindergarten for little children where they can play and galumph. OEF AFTERSHOW PARTY is prepared for the orthodox extremers who want to enjoy this unique obscene trip until the total end in the Ponorka Club in Pardubice on Sunday July 19th from 20:00. Here you can also headbang with BLOOD DUSTER, CAPTAIN CLEANOFF, A DEN OF ROBBERS or 40GRADI.
