Born in Rijeka, Croatia, Hesus Attor call themselves a “surrealistic monster” which is basically the best possible description for the band. With 5 years of activity under their belt, they recently unleashed their first album, “Sonic Gastronomy Volume 1″, a colossus that’s been eating away at my brain cells with gusto.
Each of the songs delivers a different distorted image divergent from anything popular in the mainstream metal/alternative scene nowadays. With influences such as Mr. Bungle, Hesus Attor deliver breakneck pace changes and schizoid vocals. The songs come abundant with inspiration from a multifariousness of cultures that the band mixes with old school beats and compact guitar riffs, all combined in a recipe for sweet, glorious noise with just a touch of parody.
After a few intense listening sessions I realize that my mind is racing, a hint of claustrophobia surfaces and there seems to be some blood leaking from my nose. Not really but by almighty Belzebub dressed as an air hostess is this a mighty wicked and graphic record! One that will haunt your daydreams forever, making them into a schizophrenic playground where oversized clowns dance with stuffed animals their size. Press play, press play!!! The verdict is:

If you get the chance, this is a band you just have to see live. Forget about the beer stand, their show will grab you by the balls (even if you’re a girl :) and make you listen! You’ll see madness unfold before your eyes.
