Melete is four piece band coming from Postojna, Slovenia playing in their own words crust emoviolence. And I must say that it is a pretty good definition. Dark but emotional melodies are replaced with chaotic hardcore that eventually fade into modern melodic (metallic) crust.
This EP brings us 3 songs or exactly 11 minutes of music. Good music.
Ep opens “Sungaze” that follows the upper formula, and other two songs follow this recipe as well. Vocals change from growls (examples are countless Spanish, La Coruna based bands) to screaming hardcore, but tend to be as fragile as they are ferocious. What I like about this record is that these boys are mixing different music styles they love into one coherent mass. And when you see that honesty on stage, you can only see one great punk spirit.
If only those hypnotic slow parts lasted longer:
