Toner Low and Stonebride live in Zagreb on December 15th

Posted on November 16 2008.

Dutch stoner-doom band Toner Low, who are arriving to Zagreb on December 15th 2008 for the first time, and will be presenting their new album “Entitled II”.

Psychedelic doom interleaved with slow and heavy low-tuned guitar riffs and destructive drum rhythms was inspired by such bands as Sleep, Electric Wizard, High on Fire and Acid King. The band uses psychedelic visuals during their concerts that throw the audience into a hypnotic trance. The concert will be opened by a band well-known to us, the Zagreb-based sludge/blues quartet Stonebride. Rock will plow through KSET invocating the Holy Smoke!

The Zagreb quartet Stonebride base their musical philosophy on blues moods. Combining blues and psychedelic with their loud guitar sound and a solid rhythm section they create a wall of stoner/sludge noise where the vocal uses his melodic singing to open new dimensions. Stonebride have been active since winter 2005 and have shortly after recorded their first EP followed by tours around Europe. During 2007 they have played on several shorter tours and during the year they also recorded their first album entitled ‘Inner Seasons’ that was released by the Berlin label Setalight Records. At the beginning of 2009 they will be releasing the LP album version.
